You may require an appraisal of the load-carrying capacity of your property for proposed alterations, or an assessment of defects. Philip Goacher Associates will undertake a preliminary structural inspection for you and if necessary continue working on the project until the defects or strengthening are dealt with. Normally a set fee will be charged for the preliminary structural inspection, other detailed investigations, and design of repairs being carried out on an hourly-rate basis.

We will confirm at pre-design stage whether your proposals are possible, and can give initial advice on preliminary design to assist with project costings, thus allowing contractors to more accurately price the works.
